Minister of Health, Dr. Musab Al-Ali, discussed today, Thursday, with the Qatari Ambassador in Damascus, Khalifa Abdullah Al-Mahmoud, the health situation in Syria and ways to enhance mutual health cooperation. The two sides discussed cooperation in health and service matters, as well as challenges related to the infrastructure and services for equipping and renovating a number of hospitals that were damaged due to the practices of the former regime. Minister Al-Ali emphasized the importance of direct cooperation to save time, effort, and side costs, and to ensure the delivery of aid to the most needy and affected groups, stressing the need to work on securing the return of displaced persons and addressing their health problems upon their return home. On his part, the Qatari Ambassador confirmed his country's readiness to provide full health support that serves patients and ensures continuous provision of health services.
