The Gulf Cooperation Council Renewed Its Condemnation of the Israeli Aggression Against Syria and Qatar

The Gulf Cooperation Council issued a strong condemnation of Israel due to its repeated attacks on Syrian territory, expressing its full support for Syria's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
This came during the speech delivered by the Secretary-General of the Council, Jasem Al-Budaiwi, at the opening of the "Eighth Ministerial Meeting of the Strategic Dialogue Between Russia and the Gulf Cooperation Council" held in Sochi, where he warned of the repercussions of these attacks on the security of the entire region.
Al-Budaiwi emphasized in his speech that "The security and stability of Syria represent a fundamental pillar for the security of the region."
The Secretary-General also issued a strong condemnation of the Israeli attack on the State of Qatar, calling on "the international community to condemn it and to pressure to stop Israeli policies that threaten the stability of the region."
He pointed out that these aggressions "hinder Qatar's efforts in its mediation to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip."
The Council's condemnations also included the targeting of humanitarian and international organizations in Gaza by Israeli forces and the obstruction of the delivery of humanitarian aid. The member states of the Council called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities in "alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian and relief aid."
In conclusion, the Gulf Cooperation Council emphasized the centrality of the Palestinian issue, reiterating the necessity of ending the Israeli occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state on the borders of 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the Arab Peace Initiative and international legitimacy resolutions.
