Tehran: President Bezhakian confirms refusal to surrender to international pressures and emphasizes resilience

Iranian President Masoud Bezhakian announced that Tehran "does not know surrender," reiterating his country's determination to face challenges amid the ongoing escalation of international pressures on it.
This came during his speech at the ceremony honoring the champions of freestyle wrestling in Tehran on Tuesday, where President Bezhakian said: "The world imposes pressures on us to force us to surrender, but surrender is not in our lexicon."
He added, emphasizing: "Our country will resist until the last breath, and it will not bow," stressing Iran's commitment to its position in the face of external pressures.
In line with his vision for confrontation, Bezhakian called on his citizens to achieve "full awareness of their capabilities," considering that recognizing these national potentials is the foundation for achieving resilience and independence.
On another note, the Iranian president revealed practical measures taken by his government, most notably "improving relations with neighboring countries," in an effort to alleviate the severity of sanctions and enhance regional cooperation.
These statements come at a time when international relations regarding the Iranian nuclear file are experiencing tension, after recent events in the Security Council paved the way for the activation of what is known as the "snapback mechanism," which automatically reinstated UN sanctions last week, following the failure of the Russian-Chinese initiative to postpone them.
The three European countries (France, Germany, and Britain) had conditioned the cessation of this mechanism on allowing inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency full access to nuclear facilities, resuming negotiations with Washington, and providing additional guarantees regarding the stockpile of enriched uranium.
However, Tehran rejected these demands, describing them as "illogical," reaffirming once again the peaceful nature of its nuclear program, and that it will not make any concessions under pressure, even if it leads to the re-imposition of all international sanctions.
