Syria's women's national team secures third place in the fifth West Asia Championship.

The Syrian women's national football team concluded its participation in the 5th West Asian Championship in Jordan today, Saturday, April 12, by securing third place after defeating the Kuwaiti team 7-1 in the third-place playoff.
The Syrian women dominated the match from the first half, ending it with a 4-1 lead.
Coach Salim Jablawi gave playing time to reserve players during the match, with player Aya Mohammed scoring a "super hat-trick," becoming the first player to achieve this in the tournament and leading the top scorers' list with seven goals.
Syria was eliminated from title contention after drawing 1-1 with Palestine in the group stage, finishing third on goal difference behind Palestine, who advanced to the final to face the host Jordan.
In the group stage, Syria defeated Kuwait 6-0 but lost to Jordan 2-0, accumulating 4 points, the same as Palestine, but missed out on the final due to goal difference. Jordan topped the group with 9 points, while Kuwait exited the tournament without any points.
The Jordanian national team will face the Palestinian team this afternoon in the final match to determine the tournament champion.
