Pyramids Player Ramadan Sobhi Released on Bail in Forgery Case

South Giza Prosecution in Egypt ordered the release of Pyramids Club player Ramadan Sobhi on bail of 100,000 Egyptian pounds after questioning him for about 6 hours at the Public Prosecution headquarters.
The decision came after the player was apprehended upon his arrival at Cairo International Airport from Turkey, where he was in his team's training camp, in compliance with a judicial decision against him.
The incident dates back to last May when a young man named "Youssef M" (23 years old) was caught taking an end-of-year exam on behalf of Ramadan Sobhi at a tourism and hotel institute in the Abu al-Nomros area.
The prosecution heard testimonies from several witnesses, including institute officials and security personnel, and reviewed surveillance camera recordings to match the suspect's identity.
Ramadan Sobhi's lawyer, Ashraf Abdel Aziz, denied any involvement of his client in the incident, stating in previous statements to the press that the player "has no connection to the mentioned person or the incident," noting that he was not officially summoned by any investigative authority and was not accused until last May.
On the other hand, Sherif Ekramy, Pyramids' goalkeeper and the player's brother-in-law, accompanied him during the investigations at the Public Prosecution headquarters.
It is worth mentioning that the case is still under investigation, and no final decision has been issued regarding the forgery charges against the player.
