Pyramids player Ramadan Sobhi arrested at Cairo airport on charges of exam fraud

Egyptian security forces arrested Ramadan Sobhi, a player for Pyramids Club, upon his arrival at Cairo International Airport from Turkey, in implementation of a judicial decision against him. This step comes as part of ongoing investigations into his involvement in an academic fraud incident that occurred last May.
Last May, a young man named "Youssef.M" (23 years old) was caught taking an end-of-year exam on behalf of player Ramadan Sobhi at a higher institute for tourism and hotels in the Abu al-Nimrus area in Giza. During the investigation, the suspect admitted that he received a financial amount from Sobhi in exchange for taking the exam on his behalf.
The Public Prosecution summoned eyewitnesses from the institute's administration and security personnel, and reviewed surveillance camera footage to match the suspect's identity with the player's identity.
A responsible source at Pyramids Club revealed to local media that the club "has tasked its legal team with following up on Ramadan Sobhi's case".
On the other hand, lawyer Ashraf Abdel Aziz, representing the player, denied the allegations, stating in previous press statements: "My client has no connection to the mentioned person or the incident under investigation," adding that "they have not been officially notified by any investigative or security entity," and that "no charges have been directed at the player as of the present date (last May)."
It is worth mentioning that the player was returning from the team's camp in Turkey when he was arrested, while investigations are still ongoing to decide on the case.
