Messi or Lamin Yammal? Guardiola Calls for Patience 15 Years
Spanish coach Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has called for patience before making any comparisons between the young star Lamin Yammal and Barcelona legend Lionel Messi, emphasizing that such judgments should be postponed until after 15 years of the young player's career.

Guardiola's statement came during an interview with "GQ" magazine on Monday, where he said: "I think comparisons are not helpful, Lamin Yammal should be allowed to develop his career, and when he plays for 15 years, we will see if he is better than Messi or not".

18-year-old Lamin Yammal currently plays for Barcelona, and comparisons with Messi started after he received the number 10 shirt, a number long associated with the Argentine star who achieved exceptional feats during his career with the Catalan club.

Guardiola, who coached Messi between 2008 and 2012, pointed out that Messi's achievements were unprecedented, adding: "Messi is a great player, he scored 90 goals in one season, and played continuously for 15 years without injuries, which is extremely important. We must give Lamin enough time to see if he can achieve that".

He concluded by saying: "Comparing with Messi is like comparing a painter with Van Gogh, this indicates that Yammal is truly talented, but he needs time and experience".

On another note, there was media uproar recently after a group of dwarfs participated in one of Lamin Yammal's events, where one of them stated: "No one respected us", sparking a debate about the organization of the event and how the player's entourage interacted with the attendees, despite no official comment from the player or his team so far.
