Syrian Minister of Finance Issues Circular to Resume Granting Financial Guarantees for Real Estate Property Transfer Purposes

The Syrian Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohammad Yasser Bernia, issued a circular today, Saturday, ordering the resumption of granting financial guarantees for the purpose of transferring real estate properties, starting from June 30th of the current year.
In a post on LinkedIn, Minister Bernia explained that the aim of this circular is to enable the real estate departments to directly provide services for registering the transfer of property ownership, considering it a long-awaited important step that will undoubtedly contribute to boosting economic activity and facilitating business operations.
The Minister of Finance also noted that resuming the transfer of real estate properties will be accompanied by new steps aimed at simplifying procedures, facilitating citizens' transactions, and reducing burdens on them.
Minister Bernia also expressed his gratitude to the ministries of interior, local administration, environment, the staff of the Ministry of Finance, the Tax and Fees Authority, and the real estate departments for their collective cooperation in achieving the required tasks.
The Minister apologized to the citizens for the delay in completing the preparations for granting financial guarantees.
