The Syrian Minister of Economy Discusses Economic Cooperation Prospects with the South Korean Ambassador

The Syrian Minister of Economy and Trade, Nidal Al-Shaar, discussed with the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea in Damascus, "Gyeosuk Jun", the prospects for enhancing bilateral economic and industrial relations and opening new areas for partnership between the two countries.
The meeting, which was held at the ministry's headquarters in the Syrian capital, is part of a series of discussions that Minister Al-Shaar is conducting to enhance international cooperation.
During the meeting, Minister Al-Shaar emphasized that "the South Korean model of economic revival is suitable for Syria's current economic situation, and it can be utilized for experience exchange and technology transfer," pointing to the possibility of simulating this model to support the development process in Syria.
For his part, the Korean ambassador expressed his country's readiness to support cooperation efforts with the Syrian side, highlighting "the desire of Korean companies to take advantage of the investment opportunities available in the Syrian market."
This meeting comes as part of an active agenda for Minister Al-Shaar to enhance economic relations, as he had discussed yesterday with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Japanese Embassy in Syria, Tsuji Akihiro, ways to strengthen bilateral relations in the fields of industry, investment, and trade exchange.
