The General Authority for Land and Maritime Border Crossings in Syria announced reaching an agreement with relevant authorities in Jordan to cancel the $115 US dollar diesel tax imposed on Syrian buses entering Jordan.
The Authority stated in a statement on its Telegram channel that, under this agreement, the cancellation is reciprocal. This tax will not be imposed on Syrian buses heading to Jordan or on Jordanian buses entering Syrian territories. This contributes to easing the financial burdens on transportation companies and revitalizing land transportation between the two brotherly countries.
The Authority noted that this step is part of the efforts made by the Authority and relevant authorities in Jordan to remove obstacles to movement and facilitate procedures, in line with the mutual desire to enhance bilateral cooperation and open up new prospects for partnership in the transportation and logistics sector.
