Cooperation between the Ministries of Economy and Communications to Support Digital Transformation Plans in Syria

Today, Wednesday, Minister of Economy and Industry Dr. Mohammad Nidal Al-Shaar met with Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdul Salam Hikmat to discuss ways to enhance technical cooperation between the two ministries and coordinate efforts to develop the digital infrastructure for economic administration in support of digital transformation plans in Syria.

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of expanding automation services, linking databases between the two entities to enhance government performance efficiency, and improve the business environment and services for citizens.

Minister Al-Shaar also noted that digital transformation is a pivotal tool in the path of administrative and economic reform, calling for strengthening collaborative work among various government entities to achieve tangible results.

Minister Hikmat expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Communications to provide the necessary technical and logistical support to ensure the success of digital initiatives launched by the Ministry of Economy, in line with the national digital transformation strategy.
