Syrian Foreign Minister Praises Qatar's Support and Confirms Continued Economic Cooperation

Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaybani expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the State of Qatar, its leadership and people, for what he described as "the warm reception and generous hospitality" during his official visit to Doha today.

In a post on the "X" platform on Saturday, Al-Shaybani noted that he discussed with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, ways to enhance the fraternal relations between the two countries, confirming that Syria has made tangible progress in recent months on several levels.

He also emphasized the importance of continuing economic and investment cooperation between Damascus and Doha, appreciating Qatar's steadfast position in supporting Syria and assisting it in facing the challenges and threats it is exposed to.

This visit comes as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to strengthen Arab-Arab relations, amid regional efforts to rebuild bridges of political and economic cooperation in the region.
