Syrian-Egyptian Meeting in Cairo to Enhance Arab Coordination

The Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Hasan Al-Shaybani, met today, Thursday, with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdel Aati, on the sidelines of the 164th session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

During the meeting, a number of issues of mutual interest were discussed, primarily ways to enhance Arab coordination on regional files and to develop bilateral relations between Damascus and Cairo in a manner that serves the interests of both countries and strengthens stability in the region.

This meeting comes within the context of ongoing Arab diplomatic activity aimed at building a common ground for political and economic cooperation and activating the Arab role in facing current regional challenges.
