Al-Shibani confirmed that the Syrian delegation carried the voice of free Syria and its firm positions on sovereignty, development, and reconstruction, noting that President Ahmad al-Shara delivered a historic speech before the General Assembly, the first in sixty years of isolation, in which he expressed the aspirations of the Syrian people and their national positions, and held a series of bilateral meetings with leaders and representatives of countries.
He also pointed to constructive meetings held by the Syrian delegation with a number of foreign ministers and representatives of international organizations, aimed at enhancing relations and opening up to balanced dialogue and common interests, affirming that Syrian diplomacy is regaining its position with confidence and balance.
Al-Shibani concluded by saying: "We are leaving New York today, with our country more present and resilient, and our diplomacy more open and balanced," directing greetings to the Syrian delegation that represented their country with competence and responsibility.
