The Supreme Court in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced the sighting of the crescent moon of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah for the year 1446 AH on the evening of Tuesday, 29th of Dhu al-Qi'dah, in the area of Tumair, marking the beginning of the holy month. The Court has called on all Muslims in the Kingdom to look for the crescent moon of Dhu al-Hijjah on the evening of the twenty-ninth of Dhu al-Qi'dah for this year, emphasizing the importance of the legitimate sighting. The Court clarified that the Day of Arafah will be on Thursday, June 5, 2025, while the first day of Eid al-Adha will be on Friday, June 6, 2025. These decisions come as part of the Kingdom's preparations to receive the Hajj season this year, with relevant authorities continuing to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of pilgrims and organize their rituals effectively. The use of modern technologies, such as smart drones, will also continue to monitor violations during the Hajj rituals and enhance the pilgrims' experience.
