Settlers in the West Bank have escalated their attacks against Palestinians, setting fire to several homes, launching gas canisters inside them, and destroying their contents. They also burned vehicles and terrorized children in Palestinian villages.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its teams dealt with 4 cases of suffocation due to the settlers' attack and the burning of homes in the village of Susya in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, on Tuesday evening. Field treatment was provided to those affected by the incident.
Footage showed fires burning in several areas, and reports indicated that at least 4 sites were targeted, including a residential tent and the entrance of a house where the family was inside. Leftist activists reported that two vehicles were set on fire and the windows of another vehicle were smashed.
The attack received extensive coverage from Israeli media, which broadcast testimonies from Palestinians in the area.
The "Times of Israel" published a headline stating "Children inside... Setting fire to Palestinian homes and vehicles in an attack believed to be by settlers," while "Reshet Bet" of the Hebrew Broadcasting Authority reported that "the army does not protect the Palestinian residents despite being obligated to do so."
