Continuous Communication with Iranian Leadership
The spokesman added that Putin did not discuss with Iranian President Masoud Bezhkish any demands reportedly made by Iran to the United States to resume negotiations.
He pointed out that the circulating reports on this matter are difficult to verify, while also confirming that Moscow maintains constant contact with the Iranian leadership.
Accusations Against Ukraine and Britain
Regarding the war in Ukraine, the spokesman stated that the launch of missiles by Ukrainian forces on the Russian city of Bryansk was not possible—according to Moscow—without the presence of British experts, emphasizing that Russia takes this information into account.
He added that the Russian military operation in Ukraine aims, according to Moscow's narrative, to prevent what it describes as "atrocities" attributed to Kyiv, referring to the recent attack on Bryansk.
Istanbul as a Possible Negotiation Venue
The spokesman also confirmed that the negotiation process regarding the Ukrainian crisis will continue, clarifying that the city of Istanbul remains a potential platform for holding new rounds of talks.
U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff announced that a new round of negotiations regarding the war in Ukraine may take place next week, in an attempt to find a resolution to the ongoing conflict.
