Rescue of a Girl After a Knife Blade Was Removed from Her Skull in China

A medical team in the city of Kunming, China, managed to save a three-year-old girl after she underwent a delicate operation to remove a 15-centimeter knife blade that had penetrated her skull above her right ear.
According to the South China Morning Post, the incident occurred while the girl's mother was changing bed sheets, when she accidentally touched a knife placed nearby, causing its blade to detach suddenly and injure her daughter's head, who was playing next to her.
The mother tried to pull the knife out herself but was unable to, so she decided to take the girl immediately to the hospital. Doctors at Dongchuan Hospital in Kunming successfully performed the operation and confirmed the girl's condition was stable, noting that the softness of her skull bones helped avoid fatal injuries.
