Kuwaiti Artist Shujoun Al-Hajri Released After Being Arrested on Drug Possession Charges

Several social media users shared a video showing the moment when Kuwaiti artist Shujoun Al-Hajri was received by her mother after a decision was made to release her, following her arrest several weeks ago on drug-related charges.

During the filming, the artist's mother reacted to the music by applauding, while Shujoun sat next to her expressing her gratitude for the continuous support she has received since childhood, according to her, in a scene that received wide interaction across electronic platforms.


However, after this brief meeting, Shujoun Al-Hajri announced the deteriorating health condition of her father, Matar Al-Hajri, explaining that he was taken to the hospital to receive necessary medical care. She posted a message on her social media account's "Story" feature saying: "Prayers for the speedy recovery of Matar Al-Hajri, may God heal him, grant him health, clothe him in well-being, and bring peace to his family soon and in the future, O Lord of the people, remove the affliction from Matar."
