The release of 22 detainees from Ashrafieh Sanayeh after their innocence of involvement in the security events has been proven.

The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced today, Sunday, May 4, the release of 22 detainees from the residents of Ashrafieh Sahneya area in the countryside of Damascus, after investigations proved their non-involvement in the recent security events in the area.
According to security sources, this step comes as part of efforts to calm the situation and enhance stability, following the recent major security operation carried out by the General Security Forces.
The release came as part of an agreement reached between the Syrian government and the dignitaries of Sweida province, aiming to contain escalation and avoid further tension, especially after the bloody events in Ashrafieh, which included violent clashes between armed groups and security forces, resulting in casualties and a wide wave of arrests.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Sweida, Dr. Mustafa al-Bakour, confirmed in his statement to the official Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that the agreement signed with the elders of the community is still valid, indicating that its provisions will be gradually implemented in coordination with all relevant parties.
Al-Bakour added that some provisions of the agreement have been amended in response to the demands of the province's dignitaries, in order to expedite the practical procedures, affirming that the state continues its efforts to restore stability in Sweida. He also praised the stance of the Druze community and their rejection of any external interference in internal affairs.
