The Syrian capital, Damascus, witnessed the participation of 112 Turkish companies specialized in construction and infrastructure fields in the "Buildex" exhibition currently held at the Exhibition City, confirming these companies' interest in playing an effective role in the upcoming reconstruction phase after years of war and destruction.
This participation comes at a significant time coinciding with the lifting of American and European sanctions on Syria, opening the door for regional and international companies to reconsider the Syrian market as a promising investment area, as emphasized by the Turkish companies through their extensive participation.
Selim Yildirim, representative of "Meko Makina" company specialized in machinery manufacturing, explained that his company was keen on attending this important event that opens new horizons for economic cooperation.
He mentioned the company's intention to open branches in Syria in the future, especially with significant opportunities to work in various sectors, whether public or private, in line with the trend towards a free market policy.
The General Manager of "Sandwich Panel" construction company considered the exhibition as an important opportunity to closely explore the Syrian market, especially its construction needs, affirming his company's readiness to offer its expertise and products to the Syrian side and establish direct partnerships with local companies.
On the other hand, Burak, representative of "Antigr" company specialized in building materials and thermal insulation, expressed optimism about investment opportunities in Syria, pointing out that his company sees participation in the exhibition as a gateway to expanding its network of relationships with Syrian and foreign companies, appreciating the good organization of the exhibition and the warm reception received by the participating companies.
Mohammed Serwan, representative of "Ege" company specialized in insulation and epoxy, stated that a team from his company conducted a comprehensive study of the Syrian market, showing great interest in entering the reconstruction and real estate trade fields in Syria.
He expressed his country's desire to provide necessary support by transferring the Turkish experience to the Syrian interior and actively contributing to the post-war phase.
The exhibition continues until the end of May, receiving visitors daily from 5:00 pm, and on Fridays from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, amid increasing turnout and great interest from official authorities and Syrian companies.
