The Polish Defense Minister announced on Saturday that Norwegian F-35 fighters will participate in the mission to protect Polish airspace, in a move that reflects the strengthening of defense cooperation among NATO member countries.
The minister explained that the Norwegian aircraft will operate alongside Polish and Dutch fighters in the coming weeks, as part of joint missions to secure the country's airspace amid rising security tensions on NATO's eastern flank.
This deployment is part of the alliance's plans to enhance its air capabilities and deterrence, especially with the increasing challenges related to the war in Ukraine and Russian military activities near the border.
