Maj. Gen. Amr Hanafy, Governor of the Red Sea, explained in exclusive statements that the invitation is part of the "International Daow Festival of Arts" held annually in October, showcasing a number of prominent artworks from around the world.
Hanafy emphasized that the Daow Festival is a unique artistic and cultural event aimed at boosting tourism and promoting creativity through a rich program that provides artists with the opportunity to produce and present their works in a prestigious international exhibition.

In further details of the incident, Lisa Lach Nielsen revealed during a TV interview that she discovered the theft of her painting after friends sent her video clips from an Arabic TV program. Unable to understand the language, she sought translation to uncover that the media personality Maha El-Saghir falsely claimed her work as her own.
On her part, Maha El-Saghir admitted to the theft of the paintings, expressing regret and acknowledging her mistake towards the artists and the media platform through which these claims were made.
