In the past few hours, a rumor has spread on social media platforms claiming that the Syrian artist Nawwar Bulbul was assaulted inside the National Theater in Damascus by extremist youth groups due to their objection to women singing on stage.
However, upon verification, it was found that the video was not filmed in Damascus but in the German capital, Berlin, specifically during the "Voice of Freedom" festival, where Bulbul participated alongside several Syrian artists, including the singer Safi Al-Masri.
In a swift response to these rumors, Bulbul wrote on his social media account:
"Hahahahaha, hey guys, I'm fine, currently in France. I came from Berlin, was invited to a concert for my friend Safi Al-Masri, had a disagreement with one of the attendees that ended with a mustache kiss, but just so you know, social media has nothing to do with reality."
Bulbul's statement aimed to put an end to the misleading rumors, confirming that what was circulated is not related to reality, and that he is well and in good health.
Amid this media chaos, everyone should exercise caution and verify the accuracy of news before sharing, especially in this sensitive period the country is going through, where confirming the truth becomes crucial to avoid spreading false or harmful information.
It is also important to remember that some news may aim to incite discord and chaos, requiring all of us to take greater responsibility in dealing with information and preventing the spread of rumors that may harm society and distort facts.
