Egyptian judge Mustafa Hisham Al-Iraqi achieved an unprecedented accomplishment by winning the World Powerlifting Championship for 2026, in competitions held under the supervision of the World Powerlifting Congress (WPC), outperforming champions from more than 10 countries around the world.

Historic Performance in Bench Press

Al-Iraqi managed to lift 205 kilograms in the bench press competition, achieving first place by a clear margin over the top powerlifting athletes globally. This achievement confirms his leading position in the sport of powerlifting and adds a new chapter to his remarkable athletic career.

First Officer, Prosecutor, and Global Judge

Al-Iraqi posted a picture on his Instagram account holding his trophy, commenting:
"Thank God for first place in the World Championship and being the best player in the tournament. With this, I became the first police officer to be a world champion in 2016, the first prosecutor to be a world champion in 2024, and finally the first judge to be a world champion in 2026."
This achievement is unique as it combines excellence in judicial, security, and global work, making him a rare example of multi-field distinction.
