The Ministry of Health in the Darfur region confirmed today, Monday, that the city of El Fasher is experiencing one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world, due to what it described as "horrific massacres, physical eliminations, and ethnic cleansing" carried out by the Rapid Support Forces since Saturday.
The ministry explained that these retaliatory actions systematically targeted civilians, leading to a near-total collapse of health and humanitarian services, amid hospitals' inability to receive victims and a severe shortage of medical supplies.
The ministry called on the United Nations and human rights organizations for immediate intervention to save the population, warning that the situation in El Fasher is spiraling out of control.
