Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Kabawat discussed with the Governor of Rural Damascus, Amer Al-Sheikh, on Thursday, ways to enhance the work of the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in the province, promote participatory planning, and organize the work of local community organizations and charities. Kabawat emphasized during the meeting that there are common files to be worked on, noting that the ministry's centers and directorates in Rural Damascus are essential partners in implementing programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing social stability and building trust within local communities. The minister praised the province's efforts to support the most vulnerable groups, strengthen social solidarity concepts, and make significant efforts to promote social peace, stating that coordination mechanisms were agreed upon during the meeting to serve the public interest. Al-Sheikh highlighted the importance of enhancing local development through supporting service and social projects to create new opportunities, enhance communication between community components, and contribute to building a nurturing and safe environment for all segments of society. He confirmed cooperation with the ministry to strengthen these efforts and make them tangible by supporting local initiatives, especially in areas that faced challenges in previous years, to stimulate community development.
