The Spanish coach Cesc Fabregas of Como, the Italian club, hinted at the possibility of the Argentine star Lionel Messi, who plays for Inter Miami in the United States, joining his team in the future.
Fabregas, in a statement quoted by the Italian newspaper "Tutto Mercato" in response to a question about the possibility of Messi joining Como, said: "Nothing can be ruled out, we are friends".
Messi and Fabregas played together at Barcelona, and they still maintain a close friendship that also includes their wives despite leaving the Catalan club years ago.
Fabregas also talked about his future in coaching after retiring, while Messi continues to play with Inter Miami.
Messi left an indelible mark on Barcelona's history by scoring 672 goals and providing 303 assists before his sudden move to Paris Saint-Germain in 2021, and then to the American club.
Messi confirmed that there were people in Barcelona's management who did not want him to return, and they were the ones who pushed him to leave two years ago in a scene that left him and his family with a "wound" that has not yet healed.
The Argentine star has repeatedly expressed his desire to return to the city of Barcelona and live there after his playing period with Inter Miami ends, saying: "We feel like we are from Barcelona, we always think about the day when we will be able to live there again".
