Members of the subcommittees take the legal oath signaling the start of their electoral duties

Members of the subcommittees in the provinces of Damascus, Rural Damascus, Daraa, and Quneitra took the legal oath today, Wednesday, before the Supreme Committee for the Elections of the People's Assembly, during an official session held in the Assembly building in Damascus, signaling the start of their organizational and supervisory duties over the electoral process.

The taking of the oath comes as a fundamental step in the ongoing preparations to ensure the integrity and transparency of the upcoming elections, as these committees will assume multiple responsibilities including organizing polling centers, monitoring the voting process, and coordinating with the relevant authorities to ensure the application of the adopted legal and procedural standards.

The Supreme Committee emphasizes that this foundational phase represents a real start towards a democratic entitlement aimed at enhancing popular participation and reinforcing trust in constitutional institutions, through direct supervision by qualified personnel carefully selected from various provinces.
