Massive Protests in America and Around the World Against Trump's Tyranny Under the Slogan "No to Kings"

Major American cities, led by New York and San Francisco, witnessed massive protests in which millions of Americans participated, rejecting what they described as the "tyranny" of Republican President Donald Trump, in one of the largest popular mobilizations the country has seen since Trump's return to the White House last January.
More than 2700 marches were organized inside and outside the United States under the slogan "No to Kings", referring to the rejection of the authoritarian policies Trump is accused of, as protest organizers confirmed that their goal is to confront what they consider a violation of the Constitution and an attempt to transform the democratic system into an authoritarian rule.
* Largest Mobilization Since Trump's Return ... Marches in Over 800 Cities
Since midday yesterday, Saturday, the organized movement confirmed that millions participated in peaceful protests in over 800 American cities.
In New York City alone, the city police recorded the participation of about 100,000 people and reported no incidents of riots or arrests.
The protests extended to include the capital Washington, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, and even small towns like Bethesda in the suburbs of Washington and Sarasota in Florida.
CNN reported that about 2500 protests were organized across the country, while a volunteer in New York confirmed that the crowds filled the streets between Times Square and Union Square; a distance that spans several kilometers.
* "The President Believes His Power is Absolute ... We Will Not Surrender"
The organized movement, which includes about 300 civil and human rights organizations, including the major civil liberties organization ACLU, stated that "the president believes his power is absolute, but we in America do not believe in kings".
It added: "We will not allow ourselves to be silenced".
The movement accused Trump of "deploying masked agents in the streets to intimidate communities and arrest people without judicial orders", pointing out that his administration "threatens elections, endangers the environment and public health, and allows the wealthy to profit at the expense of American families suffering from rising living costs".
* Military Display on His Birthday .. and Threatening Protesters with Force
The recent wave of protests is the largest since last June, when similar marches were organized coinciding with Trump's 79th birthday, which was celebrated with a massive military display that paraded through the streets of the capital Washington, sparking widespread anger.
At that time, Trump warned of responding to the protests with "very great force" in a speech that his opponents considered a direct threat to freedom of expression.
* Fiery Political Responses ... and Accusations of Terrorism
For their part, Republican leaders attacked this mobilization, with Mike Johnson, the Republican leader in the House of Representatives, describing the marches as "a mobilization of hatred against America", adding: "I bet you will see supporters of Hamas and Antifa in it", a leftist movement that Trump recently classified as a "terrorist organization".
Meanwhile, Republican Congressman Tom Emmer accused Democrats of "surrendering to the terrorist wing within their party", while Democratic Congressman from Maryland Glenn Ivey stated that this movement "will play a crucial role in America's future", confirming his participation in the marches.
* Stars of Art Join the Line .. and Robert De Niro Calls for a "Peaceful Uprising"
Several Hollywood stars have joined the protests, most notably the famous actor Robert De Niro, who called on Americans in a video to "peacefully rise up" against what he described as "Trump's tyranny", saying: "What is happening now does not represent the America we know".
* "The Enemy Within" .. and a Disturbance in the Balance of Democracy
Observers believe that Trump's return to the presidency has disrupted the balance of American powers, as he has been accused of exceeding the powers of Congress and the states, and threatening his political opponents with retaliatory measures.
His administration has also deployed military forces in Democratic strongholds under the pretext of combating illegal immigration and crime, and senior military officers have called for "action against the enemy within", a phrase that has raised controversy and fears of authoritarian intentions.
