Mahmoud Abdel Aziz's son reveals: Bosy Shalaby is not legally my father's wife.

Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, the son of the late artist Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, broke his silence to respond to the escalating controversy regarding the legal status of his father's relationship with the media personality Bosy Shalaby, after she published documents, including an Umrah visa, claiming that their marriage continued until his death.

In an interview with the media figure Amr Adib on the program "Al Hekaya," Mohamed Abdel Aziz revealed that Bosy Shalaby's name is not included at all in the official inheritance announcement issued after his father's death, confirming that the official documents completely lack any reference to her as a wife.

Mohamed explained that Shalaby had filed a legal "restitution" lawsuit in 2021, seeking to prove that their marital relationship continued after the divorce that took place in 1998, but the Egyptian judiciary rejected her claim at all levels of litigation, confirming that the judgment has become final and enforceable.

Mohamed Abdel Aziz also denied rumors about a dispute over a piece of land worth 100 million pounds, stating that "everything being said is inaccurate," and there is no piece of land that represents a legal or family dispute.

He expressed his sadness at his father's name being circulated in the media in this manner, saying: "I didn't want my father's name to be mentioned in the media like this... We are a family that respects itself and its audience," adding that the family has issued a statement to clarify the facts and will release another statement later.

On her part, Bosy Shalaby shared an Umrah visa dating back to 2004, showing Mahmoud Abdel Aziz's name as her "mahram," considering it a document confirming the continuation of their marriage.

She stated in her statement that their relationship was known to all relatives and friends as legitimate and legal, citing that the late artist's latest national ID card indicated her marriage to him.

She also claimed that her legal proceedings are still ongoing and have not concluded yet, and she is continuing to resort to the Egyptian judiciary in this matter.

Her statement came after the late artist's heirs confirmed in an official statement that the divorce occurred only a month and a half after the marriage in 1998, emphasizing that the relationship between the two parties after the divorce was strictly professional, as Bosy Shalaby managed Mahmoud Abdel Aziz's engagements as an assistant and business coordinator, not as a wife.

In February of last year, Bosy Shalaby denied that the divorce had taken place, affirming that the late artist remained responsible for her until his death, and that the papers referred to regarding the divorce were "forged" and fraudulently used in a dispute over a piece of land, which she said is under judicial investigation.
