Egyptian Maha El-Saghir is facing a professional crisis, as after Danish artist Lisa Nielsen and French artist Seti, who both came forward to claim ownership of paintings attributed by El-Saghir to herself, a third visual artist, German Caroline Windlin, has accused Egyptian media personality Maha El-Saghir, ex-wife of Ahmed El-Sakka, of stealing her artworks and falsely claiming them as her own during her appearance on the show "Maakom Mona El-Shazly".
German artist Caroline stated in a post on her Instagram account: "Stealing is not acceptable. I am not famous or wealthy, I work hard to the point of exhaustion while raising three children. I put my whole heart into my art hoping for a better future and to be able to buy a house".
She added, "It is very painful to see a public figure steal my art and claim it as their own, showcasing it on national television as if it were created by them".
Caroline continued, "Maha El-Saghir did not stop at just my painting, but also with the works of other artists".
Caroline revealed that her stolen painting was titled "Becoming the Garden", symbolizing how we become what we nurture with patience. She said, "Seeing someone erase this meaning is very painful".
The artist Caroline also pointed out that Maha El-Saghir did not personally reach out to her to offer a direct apology, nor did she receive any apology addressed to her from the show's host or from artist Lisa Nielsen.
