The French presidency announced today, Sunday, that France will hold an emergency meeting of the defense council later today to discuss the latest developments in the Middle East after the United States carried out airstrikes on Iran.
The presidency added that President Emmanuel Macron, who spoke to several leaders including the Saudi Crown Prince, will have further discussions with European and regional leaders in the coming hours.
The French presidency explained that Paris will make every effort to expedite the evacuation of French citizens wishing to leave Iran and Israel.
