Lebanon: Arrest of a Palestinian on Charges of Communicating with the Israeli "Mossad"

The General Directorate of State Security in Lebanon announced the arrest of a Palestinian named (M. Sh.) yesterday, October 20, in the southern region, on suspicion of communicating with the Israeli intelligence agency "Mossad", as part of the directorate's efforts to combat espionage activities.


Electronic Suspicion

The arrest came after monitoring the suspect's following of the official Mossad page on "Facebook", which raised suspicions about the nature of his communications and movements on the platform, according to the official statement from the directorate.


Legal Procedures

The directorate clarified that the necessary legal procedures have been taken against him, based on the referral from the competent judiciary, confirming its continued monitoring of suspicious activities that may affect the security of the Lebanese state.
