Kremlin Envoy: Dialogue with Washington Continues Despite Tensions... and Respect for Russia's Interests is Essential

Kiril Dmitriev, the Kremlin's special envoy for foreign investment and economic cooperation, confirmed that dialogue between Russia and the United States is still ongoing despite what he described as "recent unfriendly steps" from the American side.

In statements reported by Reuters, Dmitriev emphasized that "Russian-American dialogue will only be possible if Russia's interests are treated with respect," referring to the escalating tensions between Moscow and Washington over security and economic issues.

This comes at a time when Dmitriev arrived in Washington for official talks with officials in President Donald Trump's administration, amid the freezing of the anticipated summit between Putin and Trump.
