Katz: Israel Must Continue Striking Hezbollah and the Lebanese Government Must Disarm It

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Israel should not back down in the face of Hezbollah, emphasizing the need to continue striking it and thwarting its military capabilities.

Katz added on Monday that the evacuation of about one million Lebanese from southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut reflects, in his words, the strength of the Israeli army.

He also held the Lebanese government responsible for fulfilling

its commitments, pointing out that it signed an agreement requiring it to work on disarming Hezbollah.
