Joint Security Operation in Douma Opens Door for Coordination Between Damascus and the International Coalition

The U.S. envoy to Syria, Tom Barrack, commented on the event via the "X" platform, stating that "Syria has returned to our side," referring to what he considered a shift in the Syrian stance towards security cooperation with Washington in the fight against terrorism.
The operation came after careful monitoring of the cell's movements, during which various weapons and ammunition were seized, in a step that the Syrian Ministry of Interior considered part of its proactive approach to combating terrorism.
This operation follows a series of joint operations in various areas, including the city of Al-Bab and the town of Atmeh, where prominent leaders of the organization were targeted, reflecting the increasing coordination between Damascus and the international coalition in confronting terrorist threats.
