Iyad Nassar returns in Ramadan 2026 with a series about the war in Gaza

The Jordanian artist Iyad Nassar announced the launch of preparations for his latest dramatic work, which is a new series that addresses the suffering of Palestinians during the war on Gaza, in a massive production expected to be aired during the upcoming Ramadan season.
In exclusive statements, Nassar revealed that the series is still in the stage of writing the script and screenplay, aiming to shed light on the human aspect and the deep suffering that Palestinians experience amid the war that erupted in October 2023.
Nassar said:
"This war is not just scenes of bombing and displacement, but it is the story of every home, every family, every mother and father and child. Every Palestinian home needs a complete dramatic series that tells its painful details... from loss to hunger, from homelessness to the struggle for life."
He confirmed that the tragic events in Gaza require more than one dramatic work to convey the reality to the world, indicating that the series will rely on narrating real stories inspired by the experiences of Palestinian families under siege, amidst destruction, bombing, tears, and tragedies.
* A moving presence at a special ceremony
On another note, Iyad Nassar recently attended the wedding of the daughter of the late Egyptian officer Mohamed Mabrouk, who he brilliantly portrayed in the series "The Choice 3".
It is worth mentioning that Mabrouk was a prominent officer in the National Security Agency and was assassinated by the Muslim Brotherhood in 2013, after revealing the espionage of several group leaders with foreign entities.
Mabrouk played a pivotal role in monitoring the communications and plans of the group's elements with external parties, which led to judicial rulings against the Brotherhood leaders, in what became known as the "Major Espionage Case" involving former President Mohamed Morsi.
* Iyad Nassar: Star of social and national drama
Nassar is known for presenting roles with national and humanitarian dimensions, achieving remarkable success in dramatic works that embodied real characters and pivotal situations in the region's history, such as his participation in the "Choice" series.
As the Ramadan season approaches, the Arab audience is eagerly awaiting the official announcement of the name of the new series and the participating cast, amid expectations that it will be one of the strongest dramatic works documenting the tragedies of Gaza with high realism and humanity.
