The Israeli army announced today, Thursday, that it carried out airstrikes on the Al-Muadamiya Hospital compound in Gaza City targeting a member of the Islamic Jihad organization, which it said was a command and control center in the hospital compound.
The army explained that the member "used the compound to plan and carry out attacks against the army and Israel."
The Israeli army stated that "terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip use the hospital for terrorist purposes, exploiting civilians inside and around the hospital with brutality and audacity," according to their statement.
