President Ahmad Al-Shar'a praised the leading and historical role played by Syrian women in various stages, from times of adversity to the stage of liberation, emphasizing that Syrian women have been and continue to be a central element and essential partner in the process of work and construction.
This came during a meeting that brought together Al-Shar'a and his wife Latifa Al-Droubi with a group of Syrian women on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
Al-Shar'a explained that Syrian women were not just witnesses to pain, but were creators of dignity, steadfast in the face of suffering, holding onto their rights and the rights of their people in freedom and justice, whether inside besieged areas or in displacement camps and host countries.
The President also pointed out the diverse roles of Syrian women during the years of the revolution, where they were educators who instilled values and principles in generations, detainees who faced prisons with steadfastness, patient mothers, supportive wives. He also recalled a personal aspect of his experience, speaking about the great role his wife played during the years of the revolution and the extent of the difficulties and challenges she faced alongside him.
President Al-Shar'a emphasized that Syrian women have never been on the sidelines but have been strong participants during the revolution, and today they are present in the battle of reconstruction and building the future of Syria.
