Iraqi Police Uncover Mystery of Bride's Murder Two Days After Her Wedding in Salah al-Din

The Salah al-Din Police Command announced on Sunday the details of a horrific crime that claimed the life of a bride just two days after her wedding, which shocked the local public opinion.

The police statement indicated that the crime was committed using a large sharp knife, and that the motives for the murder were revengeful, according to the confessions of the perpetrator who was arrested under Article 406 of the Penal Code. The police clarified that the incident took place in a barn for cows and sheep.

A specialized team of investigators from the Beiji Police Department and the Crime Prevention Unit was formed, under the supervision of the provincial police chief, where the team was able to arrest the perpetrator within hours, unravel the crime, seize the murder weapon, and record her confessions.
