Iraq suspends alert status for all security units

A senior security source in the Iraqi army announced today, Wednesday, the end of alert status (J) for all security units.

According to the source, it was decided to end alert status (J) for all holding security units, adding that "the alternative system for security units will be reinstated."

Earlier today, the Chief of Staff of the Iraqi army directed the implementation of the alternative system starting tomorrow, Thursday.
