Iranian missiles strike Israel and American bases as sirens continue to sound

On Sunday morning, Iran announced the launch of a new batch of missiles towards Israel and American bases in the region, according to Iranian state television.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard confirmed that the attacks targeted the Israeli army command center, the "Tel Nof" air base, and the defense industrial complex in Tel Aviv, noting that the attacks also included 27 American bases.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard vowed to take "various and severe retaliatory measures," asserting that the sirens in Israel will not silence.
For its part, Israeli forces reported the sound of sirens in several areas, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Beersheba, while explosions were heard in Haifa with columns of smoke rising, as missile interception operations continued.
The tension was not limited to Israel, as Doha in Qatar, Dubai in the UAE, and Manama in Bahrain experienced a new wave of explosions due to missile interceptions for the second consecutive day.
Journalists reported that the shelling targeted the Al-Jufair area in Bahrain, while the Bahraini interior ministry urged citizens and residents to remain in safe places.
The Iranian attacks come at a sensitive time following the assassination of Ali Khamenei, opening the door to a new transitional phase in Iran, amid escalating tensions in the region and increasing international concern.
