Iran announces thwarting of 'Mossad' espionage activity and arrest of 6 individuals in Hamadan

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced today, Tuesday, June 24, the arrest of six individuals in Hamadan province, accusing them of working for the Israeli intelligence agency 'Mossad'.
The deputy head of public relations in the Revolutionary Guard in Hamadan province confirmed that the identities of the six individuals, who were operating in the cities of Razan, Nahavand, and Hamadan, were identified after 'accurate and timely intelligence information,' according to him.
According to the official statement, the detainees engaged in electronic activities and communicated with other agents in an attempt to 'cause public concern and tarnish the image of the regime,' as reported by Iranian media outlets.
Iranian news agency 'Nour News' also indicated that the detainees confessed to 'sending locations of Iranian officials to Mossad' as part of ongoing investigations.
This announcement comes two days after Iran aired a video showing what it described as 'confessions of Mossad agents' who were arrested in Tehran last Saturday.
In response, the head of the Iranian judiciary, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, threatened 'severe and immediate punishment' for those cooperating with Israel during his visit last Friday to the detention site of some individuals involved in recent espionage cases.
It is worth noting that the espionage issue between Iran and Israel has seen repeated escalation, with the two countries exchanging accusations of arresting 'agents' since tensions began to rise between them, especially after the events of June 13.
