Internal Security in Latakia Arrests a Former National Defense Leader During the Former Regime

Internal security in Latakia province arrested a person named Firas Mufid Saeed, one of the leaders of the so-called "National Defense" in the city of Jableh during the former regime.

The Ministry of Interior stated on its Telegram channel: "The leadership of internal security in Latakia province arrested a person named Firas Mufid Saeed, one of the militia leaders of the so-called (National Defense) in the city of Jableh under the former regime, involved in committing war crimes against civilians, as well as arbitrary arrests and killings".

It added: "He was referred to the competent judiciary to take legal action against him, as part of the efforts of the internal security leadership to pursue war criminals and bring them to justice".
