"Misbehavior Contrary to Social Values" .. Ragheb Alama Banned from Singing in Egypt

Musician Mustafa Kamel, head of Egyptian musicians, issued a decision to ban Lebanese artist Ragheb Alama from singing in Egypt and refer him to investigation by the syndicate.
In a press statement, Mustafa Kamel said: "I have witnessed over two days a despicable behavior that goes against all Egyptian customs, traditions, and social values, which we are not accustomed to in our homeland. We will not allow it to be repeated on the land of Umm Kulthum, Abdel Wahab, Halim, and the great Arab artists. Egypt's theaters have been graced by the great artists of Egypt and the Arab world with art and value, and have never been and will never be a breeding ground for uncontrolled kisses, suggestive gestures, and embraces that provoke disgust".
Mustafa Kamel added: "With all due respect and appreciation to Mr. Farid Bou Saïd, head of the musicians' syndicate in our beloved sister country Lebanon, and to all our dear brothers in the beloved Lebanese people, we, the musicians' syndicate, the head and board of directors, have decided:
To summon artist Ragheb Alama to the headquarters of the musicians' syndicate in Egypt and investigate him for his deliberate violation of Egyptian customs, traditions, and practices, and to suspend his work permit in Egypt until he appears for questioning at the syndicate's headquarters.
To address the Chamber of Tourism Establishments to meet with them or their representatives, to jointly decide to summon the owner of the tourism establishment that hosted this event, which is a clear and deliberate violation of all Egyptian values, customs, traditions, and practices.
