The chief of police in Paris, Laurent Nunez, announced in an interview with the French channel "CNews" on Friday a wide security mobilization in the French capital in anticipation of any possible disturbances, coinciding with the Champions League final that will take place tomorrow, Saturday, between Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan in the German city of Munich.

Despite the match being held outside France, French authorities expect Paris Saint-Germain fans to take to the streets to celebrate if their team wins, which could lead to riots similar to those previously witnessed in the capital.

Nunez stated that 5400 security personnel will be deployed in Paris, indicating that measures include closing traffic around the Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysées, and adjacent streets starting at 6 p.m. (4 p.m. GMT) on Saturday, with the aim of maintaining security and preventing any violations.

The French capital experienced a wave of violence following Paris Saint-Germain's qualification for the final after defeating Arsenal, resulting in the arrest of 47 individuals and injuries to three others who were hit by a car.
