In its first response to the Israeli attack in Qatar.. Hamas holds Netanyahu responsible for "failure of negotiations"

Hamas described the Israeli attack that targeted its office in Doha as a "complete crime", asserting that Israel "targeted the entire negotiation process".
The statements came from the movement's leader, Fawzi Barhoum, during a press briefing on Thursday, the first after the incident, where he said: "Netanyahu and his government have violated all laws and international norms by targeting Qatar".
Barhoum considered that "the attack in Qatar is a declaration of war by Israel on the region", threatening that "the Israeli attack in Qatar endangers regional security".
He added that "Israel's failed attempt to assassinate the movement's delegation reflects the search for an illusory victory", emphasizing that "Israel will not succeed in influencing the movement's positions".
The Hamas leader accused Israel of "deliberately sabotaging the Qatari-Egyptian mediation to stop the war", confirming that "Netanyahu and his government alone bear the responsibility for the failure of all negotiation stations".
Barhoum revealed that the attack specifically targeted the home of the head of the movement's negotiation delegation, Khalil Hayya, in Qatar, explaining that the leaders were "discussing the proposal of U.S. President Donald Trump".
The movement mourned the son of Khalil Hayya, his office manager, and three companions, while Hayya's wife and his son's wife were injured during the attack.
It is noteworthy that Israel carried out the surprise strike on Tuesday in Doha, where Israeli media reports indicated that one of the targets was Khalil Hayya, a prominent Hamas leader abroad and head of the negotiation delegation.
The attack came amid repeated assurances from Tel Aviv of its continued pursuit of the movement's leaders "wherever they are", challenging the widespread international condemnation that followed the incident.
