Algerian Olympic champion Imane Khelifa posted on her personal Instagram account that she "spent 8 years of hard work to achieve her dream, and she will remain steadfast in facing challenges," in an attempt to criticize those who used her name for personal agendas.

Khelifa decided to defend herself again after the controversy sparked by the International Boxing Federation regarding her participation in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Khelifa added in her post that "every obstacle only made her stronger and that she will continue to compete with honor and integrity."

The International Federation clarified that they "filed a lawsuit against the International Olympic Committee due to Khelifa and Taiwanese athlete 'Yu-Ting Lin' participating after controversy over their nationalities."

Nevertheless, Khelifa won the gold medal in the 66 kg category while Lin won the gold medal in the 57 kg category.
