The "Hind Rajab Foundation" Files a Lawsuit in Greece Against an Israeli Soldier for War Crimes in Gaza

The "Hind Rajab Foundation" filed a lawsuit in Greece on Thursday against Israeli soldier Naor Shlomo Dadon, from the "Givati" Brigade (the 432nd Infantry Battalion "Tzabar"), accusing him of participating in war crimes and acts of genocide during the Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.
The foundation stated that Greek human rights lawyer Evgenia Koniaki submitted the complaint on September 19, 2025, to the Greek judicial authorities on its behalf. The complaint was based on a 70-page report documenting Dadon's deployment in Gaza and the role of his unit in destroying civilian infrastructure, in addition to social media posts that showed his celebration of those actions.
According to the report, Dadon served in Gaza from August 2024 to August 2025, and was part of a military campaign that led to the destruction of neighborhoods in Rafah and Jabalia, displacing tens of thousands of residents, and destroying schools, homes, and public facilities, including the arson of the "Hamad bin Khalifa" school, which was sheltering displaced persons.
The foundation points out that Dadon is currently in the Zagora Magnesia area of Greece, where he is participating in a "Healing Retreat" organized by an Israeli organization called Rising Heroes, which claims to help veterans "process trauma" and return to service stronger. However, the foundation considers these programs a means of "escaping accountability under the guise of therapy," while the residents of Gaza live in tragic conditions.
It is worth mentioning that the "Hind Rajab Foundation" previously filed a similar complaint earlier this month against another soldier from the same battalion, Yair Ohana, and his complaint has been officially referred to the Corfu District Court.
